What Katie Did in Japanese Vogue

Our worldwide Vogue campaign continues! This week we're in Vogue Nippon who appear to have fallen heavily for our Glamour shapewear. The pictures feature (top to bottom), our Glamour bustier (right hand side), Glamour bra and Glamour corselette. Being based out in the sticks makes keeping up with international press very difficult so I have to thank one of our stockists - Faire Frou Frou in LA - for pointing me in the direction of Fashion Gone Rogue, a website which covers the best fashion shoots from magazines world wide. If you're into fashion make sure you have plenty of time to look at the site as the first time you visit you'll loose an afternoon in a blink!

What Katie Did in British Vogue

It's time for our monthly Vogue appearance (we've been lucky with items in British Vogue recently but I don't know how long it'll last!) This month's Vogue is devoted to all things thrifty and I'm looking forward to snuggling down with it as soon as I have a free evening. One of the features; Vogue Shops, More Dash Than Cash; is an A to Z on bargain hunting. L is obviously for lingerie and they say:

'The Vogue fashion team often visits whatkatiedid.com for vintage-reproduction lingerie for their shoots. We love the beautiful fifties-style satin Harlow Bullet bra, £27.50'

Thank you Vogue, we don't think it's too bad ourselves!

What Katie Did in British Vogue

Many years ago I was discussing the passing of time with a friend who told me 'just you wait until you're 30, it really starts speeding up then!' She was right, but what she didn't tell me that once you hit 35 time starts to spiral out of control. Whilst in my head I'm still thinking it's March, we are in fact in September and at What Katie Did we're currently working on designs for next March. No wonder I never know if I'm coming or going. This problem is made worse by magazines who work 3 months in advance who and who's cover dates are invariably a month after they actually come out. Vogue magazine have done a rather festive 'Winter Warmer'  supplement which is rather alarming with it only being early September and the warmest it's been all summer (although I guess as the magazine is dated October which quite close to the frosty season). The supplement features our Harlow bullet bra as part of a 'barely there' lingerie feature, and from the picture (highlighted by my red star) you can see that is it barely there! I can assure you that it is more visible in the magazine.
